About this site....... The Halls of Reiki is of course, primarily about Reiki. Whether you do or don't know what Reiki is, the best place to start is the Main Entrance, which will lead you into the Inner Lobby, and then into the Rotunda. From the Rotunda you can access all the wings and levels that make up The Halls of Reiki. Although this site IS a Reiki site, as time has gone by and the site has grown, the direction has changed a bit and in turn the content. The intent of this site has always been to provide information for those seeking and assistance to those in need. It will always be here for that purpose. But there is much, much more to see here. Although I have tried to keep the navigation of the site very simple, if at any time you lose your bearings, just click on the Site Map link which can be found on most of the pages. The Site Map is a complete listing of everything contained in The Halls of Reiki. This is especially useful if you're pressed for time. If you are a Reiki practitioner, check out the Reiki Referral. It's a free service. The Halls of Reiki offers several Correspondence Courses.
The Halls of Reiki is an affiliate site of Amazon.com, so be sure to visit the Book Store for books on Reiki, Atlantis, Crystals, Reincarnation, Angels, Edgar Cayce, Soul Travel, Astrology.........or any other subject you're interested in! The Hall of Music has many musical selections for Reiki, Healing, Meditation, Chakra Tuning, Yoga, Tai Chi and more, as well as some personal recommendations! You can also receive healing online at the Healing Chamber. As far as links, there are a ton! The Hall of links was the first links page on the site. As the site grew it was necessary to add the Hall of Links II. About the time I started thinking I was going to need to add another links page I came across the Zeus Reciprocal Link Generator, and The Great Hall of Links was born. There you will find hundreds upon hundreds of links from "A Course in Miracles," "Acupuncture," and "Angels," to "Wicca." "Yoga," and "Zen"..........and just about everything in between. The Great Hall is updated and new listings added a few times a week, so check back often. The other link pages are still in place, but eventually those links will be relocated to The Great Hall. I would also like to address a few issues here. We can call these "Ed's Rants". I am extremely honored that so many people stop by The Halls of Reiki and very grateful for all the nice email I receive. I actually receive quite a lot of email from people. Some asking for help, some asking legitimate questions, and some who just want to say "thank you" for the site and the info provided here. Again, I am honored. Sadly however, there are those people who seem to go out of their way to put down, negatively critique, question and discourage others. For those who come here with ulterior motives, please read the following: 1) I am well aware that dragons and owls have nothing to do with Reiki. I never said they did. I do however happen to like dragons. I am a big fan of fantasy books by authors such as Tolkien, Stephen Donaldson, Terry Brooks and Michael Moorcock. I have adopted the dragon you see here on the site as my personal logo. It doesn't "symbolize" anything evil or scary. The dragon... traditional symbol of China, is revered by the Chinese as an emblem of the highest dignity and wisdom, representing Imperial majesty and the "superior man" or the
"great man" of power, strength, and nobility. The dragon is seen as a beneficent force of
life-giving properties. If it offends you or scares you perhaps you should just leave. I have had a few people make comments about the fact that I have a dragon on the site. One even went as far as to ask me why I had entered into partnership with reptiles, who control the Universe! Yeah, takes all kinds to make this world go 'round!2) If you have a web site and have received an invitation from The Halls of Reiki to swap links and have decided you would rather not, just say so. Please don't proceed to give me 50 reasons why you hate the site, or what YOU would do differently, or tell me all things you think are wrong with the site. Just decline the offer and have a nice life! I promise I will not wish you any ill luck. I recently had someone tell me she would have considered linking but was not interested because she thought the email she received was "impersonal." Listen, I am a very busy person. I use the Zeus Reciprocal Link Generator to find sites for me that would be a good match to my site for reciprocal linking. The system is absolutely the best I have come across. I can turn it on and let it run for hours at a time. It finds sites that would be a good match. I then verify each site, and send an email to each of the sites. The email does come from the Zeus program, but I did edit the format. If it seems impersonal.........sorry. As I said, I'm very busy. This saves me time. Quite frankly, if you're that thin-skinned, an impersonal email is probably the least of your worries. 3) I have no interest in "competing" with other Reiki practitioners or web sites. There are those practitioners who feel threatened by other practitioners and who get very angry if someone chooses another Reiki practitioner over them. I have no time or tolerance for those individuals. When I first started putting together the Reiki Referral, I was aware that there were other such services on the internet. I'm even listed on a couple of them. But, I wanted to build my own......just something I felt I wanted to do. There is another Reiki Master in a different part of the country who had the same kind of service on his site, where a practitioner can go and enter their information, and after the info is approved it would be listed on the site. It was made known to me that this person had a problem with what I was doing. About 2 months after I started working on the Reiki Referral I was contacted by one of the above mentioned Reiki Master's students. She told me that I was wasting my time, and that there was already one such service on the internet and that I should take whatever information I had gathered and turn it over to her Master, and support him. Prior to this I had been to the mentioned site, had entered my info, and was listed on the site. After I started the referral service my info was deleted from the site. I have been there 2 or 3 times since and have entered my info.....but my listing never gets approved or listed. When did Reiki, or healing............or wanting to help people become a competition? What does it matter WHO refers the person or WHO helps the person, as long as the person gets the help they are seeking? I've never understood that kind of mind-set. I have referred countless numbers of people to other Reiki Masters. As I mentioned, I'm a pretty busy person. When I have someone contact me who wants to learn Reiki and I have nothing available for a few weeks, I give them the choice of scheduling with me at a later date, or I will refer them to someone else. And I am happy to do that! By the way "R"......if you want to see if I practice what I preach, you have an open invitation to send me your info, and I will list you on my site, and will expect nothing in return. 4) I am very appreciative of all the people who visit here and very honored and thankful for all the kind email. I have spent many late nights and week-ends building, updating and maintaining the site......so again, thank you. Everyone is welcome here and hopefully the site has helped some who have visited here. If you like the site, awesome! If you don't like the site, that's ok too. I never expected that EVERYONE who finds their way here would appreciate what's here. But please, do not send me "hate mail". Yes, that does happen from time to time. Usually they are people who have their own sites. The competition thing again, I guess. Ok, now that that's out of my system........... If you're still here, good for you...and thank you!
