A 12 year old boy named Kevin was riding his bike in the street in front of my house with a couple of his friends one day last summer, when he collided with one of the other boys, and the pedal of his bike put a small gash on the side of his foot, near his ankle. I was inside, and could hear him screaming in pain! His friends helped him to my steps, as he couldn't stand on his own. When I examined Kevin's foot, it was bleeding from the wound and had already started to bruise. I first used a wet wash cloth to cleanse the area around the wound, and then cupped his foot in my hands, with one hand covering the wound. Kevin watched what I was doing for a minute, then looked up at me and said, "Your hands feel cold!"( This was a hot summer day. It was also the first time anyone had ever told me that my hands felt cold when giving them Reiki ). I continued to direct energy to the injured area for maybe 4-5 minutes. When I removed my hands the bleeding had stopped, and there was only a slight sign of bruising. Kevin exclaimed "Wow!", then proceeded to run back to his bike with no sign of injury. I saw Kevin the next day and you could hardly tell that he had been in any sort of mishap! There was only a small, what looked like a scrape on his foot, and no bruising at all!

A couple of years ago I received a call from a woman in Utah who had wrenched her back and was in such pain that, after taking a shower she had to have her husband dry her with the towel. For days she had done little but lie on her bed in pain. I proceeded to send her Reiki energy long-distance, ( I live in Virginia ). I sent the energy to her for 20 minutes. About 35 minutes later she called me and told me that a few minutes after she had gotten ready to receive the Reiki, she felt a sensation that she described as" warm and tingly", start at her head and move slowly down her body. Her left foot then flopped over to one side, and then righted itself again. She said she then became very warm all over! This continued for the next 20 minutes or so, while she became very relaxed. When the heat and the tingling subsided she sat up and reached for the phone, and very excitedly relayed this story to me. Then, after thanking me several times she said that the pain was gone, she hadn't felt this good in days, and she was going downstairs to start cleaning the house! I have since talked to her and she has not had any further back problems.

My name is Bimini and I'm a Reiki 2 practitioner. I am always fascinated by the effects of Reiki. I have had
several neat experiences with healing:
my favorite is when I treated my beloved English teacher/Reiki
practitioner for a migraine and spasms in the lower back. The heat I
felt from my hands was so intense and so instant! I knew that the whole
right side of her body was affected by the migraine. Within 5 minutes of
the treatment, she reported a worsening of the headache and then
immeditely afterwards, it was gone! the same went for her back. It was
amazing to me and her because the treatment was done 2 weeks before I
got my level 1. I was in a five week course prior to my initiation.....

This one was done about 1 month ago on my French teacher.
I had run into her in the hall and she said she wasn't feeling well. She said that a
mutual friend of ours had told her that I was a very powerful healer:)
So she asked timidly if maybe, if it were possible for me to give her a
treatment. I agreed. Her throat chakra was unbelievably blocked so I
spent about 20 minutes on that spot... Her breathing became shaky and I
knew she was going to cry. so she did... I sat her down and told her to
inhale beauty, love, light and peace and exhale all negative emotions.
This purging of her emotions lasted for 15 minutes or more, but when she
finished her lungs and bronchial tubes were perfectly clear . After
thanking me she simply got up and went home, as if she had never been
sick.....

This was a treatment that I received. All my chakras were badly in need
of balancing,( I see that as I look back on it), but the lung area was
particular blocked. The healer,( which just happened to be the English
teacher mentioned in story #1), left her hands on that chakra for a long
time and I swear it was just like a furnace! When she moved her hands to
balance my other chakras, I had to ask her to stop because I was
coughing so much... It was really choking me. She calmed me down and
said it would only be for a few more minutes. So it finally stopped and
she resumed the treatment. This was the first time such a thing happened
to me and it was scary! ( also impressive because I didn't have trouble
with my chest for a week afterwards!).

My nine years old son was attuned to Reiki I recently, while I am
attuned to Reiki II, When I do absent healing, I would ask him to
describe how the reiki energy flow (as he see it), below are some of his
comments: "it would go up and down" (his eyes would follow the flows)
"it bounce like a ball"
"sometimes it is blue in colour" (he had seen orange too) "it spin around"
"It goes out of the room"
"there is a hole in the ceiling with a pillar of light came from the
ceiling to the floor"(I would be asked to stand inside the pillar though I can't see it)
"there is an angel above your head, mummy with a ring above your head
and the angel head" " Mummy, you are angry,your aura is red near your head "
I see reiki through the eyes of my son.

In accordance with the Reiki method of natural healing I received the Reiki level of the first degree on May 6th, 1999. On May 27th, 1999 my 18 year old son was in a bad motorcycle accident. Besides a broken collar bone, a lot of road burn to his body, a cat scan revealed a concussion with bruising to the brain. On May 29th a second cat scan showed no change, and we were able to bring him home. The next day he became uncomfortable with pain in his head. I gave him the medicine for pain, which did not help any. My son begged me to help, for the pain was so great. I then told him about Reiki, saying it was a healing energy. He agreed to receive it. I spent about 45 min. to one hour of treatment to only his head until he fell asleep. I'm so pleased to say he has had no pain in the head area to this day!!!!!

On a crisp, clear, NH spring day in 1998, I had one of the most beautiful
experiences of my life...

I was driving along a highway, and saw a damaged car off to the side of
the road. The occupants were on the grass looking at what appeared to be a
body! It was a deer. The driver was at the head of the deer crying
hysterically that she had killed an innocent animal! After seeing that the
bystanders were all physically okay, I walked timidly over to see this dead
deer. Unexpectedly, I saw her chest rise and fall...she was still alive! My
heart was racing! Without thinking I dropped to my knees, placed my hands
on her, and started the flow of Reiki. Incredibly, I felt pain in her
midsection and legs. She opened her eyes and struggled with all her might
to get up, but could not. I was astounded when I felt her relax and just
accepted the strength of the Source. I couldn't believe this was happening!
An officer and ambulance arrived and found me kneeling by this poor deer,
hands on, with my eyes closed. Having been asked by the officer what I was
doing, I hesitated explaining that I was doing Reiki. After all, there are
those who think it is something out of the Twilight Zone! I just replied
with a
grin that I had a feeling that she would be okay, she just needed some time
to rest. I got the rolling eyes anyway . The ambulance driver came
over next and asked excitedly if I was doing Reiki. With my positive reply
he asked if he could sit down and join me! Are you kidding?? Of course!! So
there we
were. Two Reiki practitioners, giving Unconditional Love to this injured
deer while traffic obliviously whizzed by. We joyously laughed at this
amazing event!
Soon the energy became very intense...and then it happened. The deer gave
a swift kick, leapt to her feet, and stood there looking at me. She looked
deeply into my eyes, fluttered hers a few times, and took off in leaps and
bounds into the trees!! Wow! My counterpart looked at me in disbelief and
asked "What just happened here??" I jubilantly replied that we just helped
this Being in need, and wasn't it wonderful that we could!!
The woman who had hit the deer looked over just in time to see the deer
take off. She raced over to me, hugged the stuffing out of me, told me she
loved me (!!), and squealed "Thank You!! You're a Miracle Worker!!" After
all, she thought the deer was dead at one time. I laughed, and explained to
her
that we did Reiki and what it was all about. Knowing that she could use it
herself, I asked if she would like a treatment too. She hesitantly
accepted. No more than 5 minutes after I started working on her, she fell
into dreamland! This totally hysterical woman was now asleep! None of us
could believe the
transition! I felt bad I had to wake her up when the tow truck
arrived....she felt so peaceful. She hugged me, lovingly this time, and
said she'd never, ever, forget what happened.
As everyone left the scene, I calmly sat in my car to ponder the
adventure that had taken place. I smiled from within when I realized that a
Heart Print had been made on this special day :-).
I felt drawn to look at where the beautiful doe ran off to. She appeared
at the edge of the trees, silently staring at me...not moving a muscle. I
knew what she was saying to me. I rolled down my window and yelled out
"You're welcome! Now go home!" With that, she pranced off into the trees
again! And I
drove away with much love and joy in my heart...

In April 1998 I had surgery on my achilles tendon. It seemed to be
healing ok. Several months later though I still had pain. I had gone
to a seminar with my daughter and we were shown a type of hands on
healing exercise, which I started doing everyday; this started helping
me. I had gotten some books on Reiki and started reading them. I told
my daughter that I wanted to have an attunement to Reiki; so in March of
1999 we took a Reiki class. Everyone else taking the class had their
shoes off, I left mine on until we were seated for the first attunement,
then I kicked my shoes off. I could not walk without them, because my
foot was still to sore and hurt from where I had the surgery on my
achilles tendon. After we had the attunement, we were paired up with
other people to do sessions on each other. The lady that I was paired
up with had had some experience with hands on healing and said she
would do a Reiki session on me first. When she finished the session and
I got off the table to do a session on her I had No Pain in my foot and
was able to walk around without any shoes, and I still have No Pain
today. Reiki is a wonderful thing. I not only took Reiki 1, but went
ahead and became a Reiki Master/Teacher. Light, Love, Blessing.

I am a Practitioner/teacher level. I went skiing with a couple of friends
and one friend had been unable to ski for 3 yrs. due to a knee problem that
had caused her constant pain. I gave her about 45 mins. of Reiki to ease her
pain from all the walking we had done that day. While doing Reiki my hands
began to vibrate uncontrollably for about 5-10 mins. After I released my
hands from her knee she said it felt good but we had no idea how good it
really felt...the knee continued to vibrate and twitch throughout the night
keeping her awake. The next day she had no pain, skied the next 3 days and
still has had no pain or problem with her knee. I have so many wonderful
stories to tell. May I go on? I have a dear young (now 20 yr. old) friend
who was in a car accident when she was 11 yrs. old and suffered massive head
injury. She has defeated all odds and is able to walk and talk - with some
difficulty and deficits but by the power of God is alive. I was giving a
hands on Reiki session to her, I closed my eyes and an image of an angel
appeared standing to her right side with his hands on her heart and shoulder
(right side). I thought I was delusional and immediately opened my eyes -
her mother sitting with us saw my face and asked "What's wrong?" I said
"nothing" but found myself a little shook. I again closed my eyes and
Mollie's Angel was still with her. The tears flowed like a beautiful stream
and I felt so wonderful and peaceful. I had a KNOWING that he was about
17-19 yrs. old and he wanted me to tell her he has always been with her and
always will be with her. I told her this and her reply was "I know" She
even knew his name and when questioned she told me the first time she saw him
was when she was in the hosp. after the accident. I seldom tell this story
but when I tell this story, I become overwhelmed with emotion and tears and
those wonderful little "chills" engulf my body. I am honored to have had so
many experiences with "My Little Angel, Mollie". One involved a room of
people during a Reiki Share. Long story but I would love to share it with
you if you would like to hear it. SO SO VERY POWERFUL and WONDERFUL proof
of the Divine Spirit.

Subject: First Reiki experience

I experienced Reiki for the first time at a conference "Kindred Spirits on
the Edge: Integrating Psychology & Spirituality." Reiki was being offered
as a method for relaxation/well-being at this conference along with massage
and other self-care techniques. I had never heard of Reiki before and had no
idea what it was about. This particular Reiki was being offered along with
aromatherapy. The Reiki practitioner asked me how I wanted to feel. I said
"relaxed and rejuvenated." She helped me choose a combination of scented
oils and then I lay upon a table on my back. She rubbed the oils in her
hands and placed them over my face. The scent was powerful and quite
pleasurable. I was acutely aware of where her hands were placed over my
body (I long-time later understood this to be the chakras) during the entire
time. I had my eyes closed for the entire session. I started to see little
spirals of light and shimmers of light (similar to what one might see when
light is being reflected by water). Then I saw unusual items (hard to
describe with words) and symbols (seemingly) randomly appearing. Then I had
the sensation of being pulled through a vortex of light. (It reminded me a
bit of a Star Wars movie scene when Han Solo's Millenium Falcon jumped to
light speed). It was as if I were ejected from this vortex of light and
found myself floating over a field of golden wheat. In the distance I could
see a temple. As I approached this temple, I was then floating over sand and
the temple appeared to be in the middle of the desert. The temple was in
various hues of gold and had many reliefs on its facade. The construction
was terra cotta. The terra cotta floors of this temple had diagrams and
images. As I walked through this temple the silence was deafening and I was
strongly aware of the power of this silence. I thought to myself that I
"knew" something about this and that this meant something, although I could
not identify nor describe just what it was I thought I knew or this meant.
Then I was aware of the scent of the oil and hands over my face again. When
this occurred I saw brilliant purple, then teal, then back to purple colors.
I wondered if the Reiki practitioner had placed a purple filter over my face
and that was why I was seeing this color. The purple color was shimmery and
had little spirals or whorls of white light moving throughout it. I became
so profoundly relaxed that I could no longer keep my hands clasped over my
stomach and it seemed as if my lips were too heavy for my face. Later when
the Practitioner tried to helped my stand up, I felt almost whoozy and could
hardly speak. Within minutes, I pretty much recovered, but was awstruck at
my experience. Throughout the rest of the day, I had something like
flashbacks to the experience which were not unpleasant, but very perplexing.
For the next several weeks I experienced an incredible sense of well-being
and energy, which I have never forgotten.
