In answer to your questions, We are all inherently spiritual, what you are experiencing is awakening. As you receive the attunements of Reiki they are like an energy matrix that reawakenens you to your connection to the divine energy. Many people open their Reiki sessions with a prayer for healing and protection. This sets the intent for the session. As long as your intent is for good, you cannot harm another person with the energy. I always ask to be a pure channel of God's love. The energy will take on some of your vibrations as you channel. That's why we experience sessions from different masters differently. People are automatically attracted to masters with vibration similar to their own. It's important to try to stay focused on positive things during a session, but don't worry over a stray thought that comes in during a session. Perhaps you can look at the thought and figure out where it came from. I often sense my clients thoughts, emotions and sometimes even have visions of their past lives in Reiki Sessions. These will often give you valuable information on the kinds of problems/ origins of the problems that your client is having. My best advise is just to relax and let Reiki teach you, No matter how long you practice Reiki it will always teach you. Good Luck!
